Images of the former Pan African Congress (PAC) director of Foreign Affairs and representative to the United Nations, David Sibeko, who was murdered by a militant stance faction in the PAC on 12 June 2014. At the time of his death, Sibeko was based in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. The death of Sibeko came as result of increasing hostility between fighting factions within the PAC’s newly appointed Central Committee, led by Potlako Leballo, in Tanzania. This committee was dominated by Sibeko’s faction members. After Leballo had left Dar-es-Salaam for medical treatment in London, the committee announced that Leballo had resigned and that the President’s council, which was led by Sibeko, was in control. This hostility culminated in the assassination of David Sibeko.
