Surrounded by the ridge of hills known as the Berea, the large and beautiful structure dominates the coastal plane beside the ocean. The stadium is one of 10 stadia in South Africa that will serve as host to the 2010 FIFA World Cup.. Shaun Taylor works for Liquid Sun, a Durban based company contracted to Johannesburg-based Izihlala Project. He and his team has installed 56,600 seats in the stadium in 7 months. By the time of the World Cup they will have installed 76,000 seats in the stadium. Various colours of seat are placed exactly as determined by the architect and the colours blend from bluey green near the bottom to reds and oranges near the top signifying the change from water to sunset sky. Placing the seats exactly according to plan took Shaun and his partner Lee Kelly 2.5 months from 7 pm to 2 am each night to plan after working the the stadium the whole day. Every component on the seats was manufactured in South Africa.

Surrounded by the ridge of hills known as the Berea, the large and beautiful structure dominates the coastal plane beside the ocean. The stadium is one of 10 stadia in South Africa that will serve as host to the 2010 FIFA World Cup.. Shaun Taylor and Lee Kelly work for Liquid Sun, a Durban based company contracted to Johannesburg-based Izihlala Project. Placing the seats exactly according to plan took Shaun and Lee 2.5 months from 7 pm to 2 am each night to plan after working the the stadium the whole day. Every component on the seats was manufactured in South Africa.
