Written by Julian Goldswain – My spiritual journey has been deepening for a long time, increasingly what I see in front of my camera is a reflection of my beliefs. Recently I have been looking at light during the crossover points of day because those times manifest the awesomeness of creation more acutely. I’ve rediscovered a space where I feel more alive because I see around me a beauty revealed in the powerful force of nature’s effect on the landscape.
From 2006 until 2010, the Sea Point Promenade between London Road and Clarens Road, was my stomping ground, our young family’s first back yard, where we used to unwind, play and watch the sunset together. I’ve observed the light at the intersections of dawn and day, sea and land. At those times and places, I experience an increased sense of the miracle of life playing out before me.
