Description A fisherman checking his net for the next catch off the shore of the Langebaan Lagoon in the West Coast National Park of South Africa. The West Coast National Park was established in 1985 and is on the Cape of South Africa, its focal point is the Langebaan Lagoon. West Coast National Park is 36 273 hectares in size, and home to thousands of seabirds that roost on sheltered islands, pristine golden beaches stretch endlessly into the early morning mist and brooding salt marshes are home to vast concentrations of migrant waders from the northern hemisphere.
