Description Sipho 'Hotstix' Mabuse, whose 'Burn Out' hit sold over 500,000 copies. 'Jive Soweto' was a giant mbaqanga hit of the late 1980s. His group, Harari, played a pioneering role in helping black musicians to be regarded as professionals by the record industry. Hotstix recorded and produced for, among others, Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela, Ray Phiri and Sibongile Khumalo.
