The bark of the Umbrella Thorn tree has a rough feel and is grey to black in colour. The tree has a combination of one straight thorn with a small hooked thorn alongside; it is seen on some of the landscapes of the South African National Parks. South African National Parks, (SANParks), manages a system of parks which represents the indigenous fauna, flora, landscapes and associated cultural heritage of the country. National parks offer visitors an unparalleled diversity of adventure tourism opportunities including game viewing, bush walks, canoeing and exposure to cultural and historical experiences.
