Cape St Francis Lighthouse also called Seal Point Lighthouse lies about 90 km west of Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Province of South Africa. The reefs at Seal Point stretch more than a kilometre out to the sea and are a hazard to shipping. The 27.75 m high lighthouse was built in 1878 and is the tallest masonry tower on the South African coast. The light has a range of 28 sea miles. It is no longer operational, but it is open to the public and guided tours of this historic lighthouse can be arranged. Eastern Cape. South Africa
