Venning Park rose park with its water features and tea garden and restaurant was previously known as Eastwood Square. The name “Venning Park” honours John Harold Venning, former Municipal Director of Parks, who retired in 1940. The park also houses a rosarium with 30 rose species and more than 3 000 rose bushes on its 30 620 mò area. The rosarium was established by the Northern Transvaal Rose Society, and the roses were donated by various rose nurseries. One of the roses is the ââ¬ÅCity of Pretoriaââ¬Â. The Venning Park public park is situated on the corner of Schoeman and Eastwood Streets, Arcadia, Pretoria.
