22 October 2015 Early this morning students march through the NMMU South Campus asking students to suspend there activities and to join the campaign for fees must fall. The students started gathering at the Kraal. Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University Vice-Chancellor Derrick Swartz refused to address hundreds on angry students today that gathered at the Kraal after the students refused to meet him at the NMMU sports field as scheduled. After hearing this the students march to the campus entrances and closed all entry and exit points to the campus forcing staff to leave the campus on foot and leaving there cars behind.
