His au pair used green sunlight soap (those large green blocks) and a wet facecloth to massage his scalp with. The result was that his hair got all spiky. He looked too cute when she did that, but hours after this shot was taken, he rubbed bubblegum into the spikes, so all the hair had to come off.

When the Gay Gaities Troupe split, when her Quad sisters quit show bizness, and when her eight year old love affair fizzled out. She got famous in 1943, singing 'Cow Cow Boogie.' She was mad about jivingso she got used to jeans. (Photograph by Drum Photographer © Baileys Archives) neg 449 Thandi Mpambani vocalist for the Cuban brothers

Description: Resting at the head of a valley in the little 'berg, surrounded by Giants Castle Nature Reserve, Richard and Mouse Poynton have transformed the Poynton family's rustic fishing retreat into one of South Africa's top gourmet getaways. Famous for having established Granny Mouse's County House in the Kwazulu Natal midlands, the Poynton's sold the hotel in 1993 and took to the road working with some of Europe's top chefs for three years. Two years ago they returned to create a personal retreat with the finest attention to detail.Mouse has indulged her first love of interior decorating transforming former stables into homely rooms, each decorated around their own theme. The interiors of the main building burst with character, from the pile of old leather suitcases in the lounge to colanders turned into lamp shades in the dining room. Mouse’s interiors are influenced by the warm colloquialisms of American country designs. The clean lines, winter hues, and broad hearths of the building its

Description: NIGED:SOCIAL:RELIGION:CULTURE Ð JUL 1965 Ð Bello The Man Behind The Legend Ð The deeply religious Sardauna of Sokoto at a Muslim gathering.ÕÕ I would very much like not only the federation of Nigeria, but the whole world, to become Moslem. If it does, many of the complicated problems that face it today will fall away. For example, since Islam does not permit lying and cheating and double- dealing, a country that has Islam as its official religion would infinitely be a better country in which to live. It would be a country in which to love would be king, in which truth would be the basis of the conducts of all human affairs and in which equal opportunity for all would be guaranteed, not only by an act of legislation, but by the call of Islam. I will continue, both in my private and public capacities, to mix religion with politics. To me, the two are inseparable.ÕÕ ( Photograph by Matthew Faji Photographer ©BAHA)
