Description: Brown tin-roofs interconnect forming a maze of houses in Kibera slum outside Nairobi. The houses press up against the tropical forest jungle in the distance, hemming the people into a confined space. Many people's washing hangs on ropes strung between buildings, giving spashes of colour to the otherwise brown and grey shacks. Kibera is the largest slum in Africa, home to over 550,000 people, which constitutes one in every five people living in Nairobi.
