Description: A local Karamajong pastor, James Kibuli (centre), who himself was a former cattle raider, stands with two of his friends on fields near Kadoca village. The two friends on either side of James are cattle herders and this meeting was an unexpected reunion with their former cattle raiding friend-turned pastor. The transition away from the cattle-raiding lifestyle can be difficult for some men, particularly for those who desire to get married. The lobola or dowry price for a Karamajong bride can be between 80-100 cows.
