Description: GSU personnel defending the railway line that passes through the slum of Kibera on its way to Uganda. The ODM oppostion supporters were reacting to the news that Ugandan military had intervened on behalf of President Kibaki in certain provinces in western Kenya near the border. These reports remain unfounded but what is certainly true is that President Museveni remains the only Head of State to have officially congratulated President Kibaki on his disputed election win before the peace agreement was signed..

Description: ODM supporter firing a sling with a stone at GSU personnel. The GSU were dispatched to protect the railway line that runs through the slum of Kibera on its way to its final destination in Uganda on the last day of mass protests called by leaders of the Opposition. ODM supporters accuse Uganda and its President Museveni of siding with President Kibaki in the disputed election row. There are rumours (and only that) of Ugandan military personnel helping Govt forces quell protesters. While these accusations remain unfounded what is certainly true is that Museveni, President of Uganda remains the only Head of State to officially congratulate President Kibaki on the disputed re-appointment before the peace agreement was signed.

The ODM oppostion supporters were reacting to the news that Ugandan military had intervened on behalf of President Kibaki in certain provinces in western Kenya near the border. These reports remain unfounded but what is certainly true is that President Museveni remains the only Head of State to have officially congratulated President Kibaki on his disputed election win before the peace agreement was signed.

Description: ODM supporters accuse Uganda and its President Museveni of siding with President Kibaki in the disputed election row. On Wednesday 23rd January 2008, collective funerals were held at a church named Ligi Ndogo in Nairobi for those killed during the previous week's 3 day rallies by ODM supporters. They were protesting at the request of the Opposition leader, Raila Odinga, over the now much-debated disputed election result held 27th December. The ceremony was overseen by the ODM leadership. Unfortunately half-way through the service, when police tried to force supporters who had spilled onto the streets back into the church grounds, clashes bet
