The formation of the United Democratic Front (UDF) in 1983 revived the spirit of political activism amongst the Black communities. UDF became an umbrella body to different political formations. It used posters to communicate messages to its meetings. The UDF stood powerfully against PW Botha's policy of a parliament which purportedly gave the vote to Coloureds and Indians as well as Whites but not to Blacks. This poster calls upon South Africans not to vote for such an illegitimate form of government. This poster reads: UNITE NOW! UDF Reject Botha's Plans Printed by UDF
