June 16 – We Remember; Verso: Regina Mundi Church with a capacity to seat 5000 people, was too small when Soweto citizens turned out to commemorate victims of the June 16, 1976, disaster and its aftermath. About 7000 people crammed the church, spilling into the grounds outside, long before the service began while a contingent of police watched from the South West side of the church.
