Uganda Enjoys Its Election Fever – Loyal Supporters: UNC faithful listen to victory speeches following the announcement of the election results.  The results of the recent elections have given politicians the chance of a lifetime to build up party organisation, for a national government, and go on to work for independence. Practically every man and woman outside Ankole, Buganda, and Bugisu had the chance to vote.  And about 85 per cent of the people did. The elections were fiercely contested. Religious and political passions were literally aflame.
