Fetu Afahye, Cape Coast Is Reborn – A member of one of the Cape Coast Cultural organisations, the Asafo companies, holds the attention of his young audience with a war dance. Oguaa Traditional Area was blaze with ceremony and celebration and the topic of the moment was the OGUAA FETU AFAHYE. Like many of the tribal festivals of Ghana, Fetu Afahye has its history. The actual date of its introduction to the people of Cape Coast is not certain. But what is certain is that after its brief application, Fetu Afahye got caught up in the removal of the then Headquarters of Gold Coast to Accra in 1877.
