Headline: This selection of images is a record of the Drum Magazine photographers and writers who were instrumental in the formation of the publication. Title: Drum Magazine staff photographs, South Africa edition 269 Description: FEB1957 - Big Noisy Trial - Peter Magubane. Peter shut his eyes in anticipation as he was hauled off. He was arrested four times outside the Drill Hall court for taking pictures. The police did not like the sight of a camera and a few representatives of the press got pushed around. So the police took him away even though the authorities had assured us that the newspapermen would not be interfered with.
