Born Cassius Clay in segregated Louisville, Muhammad Ali shattered boxing norms with his “float like a butterfly, sting like a bee” style. He refused the Vietnam War draft, sparking a fight for his beliefs and inspiring millions. Ali’s trip to Africa rallied Pan-African pride, solidifying him as a champion both in the ring and for social justice. Parkinson’s struck, but his global influence never faltered.
Alf Kumalo, one of the many photographers we represent took photos of and with the icon over the years and in the process developed a friendship with him.
