Mandela visited Achmat at his Cape Town home to discuss Achmats decision not to take antiretrovirals to treat his HIV. Achmat, HIV+, a long time Aids activist has taken the stand that he will not make use of anti retrovirals as long as they are not available to HIV+ South Africans generally at affordable prices.
