Famine in Somalia
Malnourished bodies spread throughout small villages. The quiet ambiance that came with a lack of energy was almost overwhelming. The sound of silence was more piercing than the fighting that was also taking place around Somalia.

Remnants of the severe famine are wrapped in blankets tied with small pieces of rope. The deceased are placed along deserted streets, alongside the bones of animals, before burial.
